Touching Prompt 22. falling asleep on the other’s shoulder

Jake was exhausted but couldn't sleep yet. He'd had a week off and barely left the house, once for booze and groceries. It had been his first week off since meeting Niko, a week where they were shooting parts of the film that didn't require his skills. He indulged. Overindulged for the deep soreness in his muscles and the ache from all the scratches and bites and the hangover threatening to start.

The thoughts had him snuggling closer to the warm, naked body beside him. Niko groaned in his sleep, equally achey from their non-stop boozing and sex. Jake had never had anyone stay despite being in the apartment for nearly six years now, and it felt good. His lover felt good... in the bath, against the kitchen counter, on the couch... they'd even passed out on the floor in the living room only to wake up a few hours later ravenous for each other. Jake couldn't resist. Everytime he saw the guitarist he wanted the younger man and Niko encouraged him. The ass grabbing, pinching and rogue bites did nothing to dissuade the American.

“You're hot.” Jake whispered when he felt Niko rolling over to face him.

“So are you.” Niko mumbled in return before burying his face against Jake's chest to fall back asleep.

The dark haired Finn was perfect and Jake pushed his hair back before settling in against him. Thier bodies were soon wrapped up, a tangle of arms and legs, the way they had always slept together since the first night on the couch in Niko's room. If Jake was honest with himself, he found the way they slept together arousing, especially here, in his coffin. Niko finally got over his fears of that too.

He was perfect. Jake kept thinking it as he was fading into sleep. Days of erotic touch at all hours of the day and night, constant and uncontrollable. Behind closed doors they couldn't keep their hands to themselves. A touch or a bite and they'd both be pulling off clothes for more. Even when the touch wasn't a request for sex, Jake still found himself hard and wanting. Niko made him feel feral and animalistic. All he'd wanted for the past week was to nest up in his apartment and wallow in food, sex and sleep.

Laying in the dark, Jake was aware of everything. The silk under and over his skin. The softer parts of Niko's naked skin against his, and the slight roughness to the thicker hair on his legs. The sound of his breathing slowing as he fell asleep and the pleased, sleepy groan as Jake ran his hands over the guitarist's back and thigh. The coffin didn't smell so much of Jake's cologne and leather as it had. Now there's Niko's shampoo and the distinct smell of sweat and sex.

Jake couldn't believe he'd been upset the week before because Niko had called the American his boyfriend in front of others. It all felt ridiculous now. Jake was mad about the Finnish guitarist. Everything about the man was just what Jake wanted.

The American drifted off but was woke up a couple hours later to noise. The noise on the street and the apartment above was too much. Jake reached up to pull the coffin shut to muffle the sound. He flipped the switch to turn on the small fan that helped circulate the air in the coffin, a necessity so no one got ill. Soon Jake was nestled against Niko again and falling fast asleep with Niko's head on his shoulder.

Lex stepped away from the coffin. "He's always wanted one."

Lex remembered his dad hearing his 11 year old kid ask for a coffin for Christmas. He almost laughed but managed to stifle it. There were a lot of bites on Niko's legs which told Lex they had been having a lot of 'fun'.

"Satisfied?"

"I suppose someone who's wanting to live like a real vampire should have the right accessories and furniture."

Heikki nodded and thought it a bit odd but then he wasn't judging at all because this man was Niko's boyfriend and Lex's brother. He wouldn't disrespect Jake like that at all. The bites on his brother's legs told Heikki a story or two what the two men had been up to.

"To be honest I'm really surprised at how detailed Jake's apartment is with all the gothic and vampire stuff. It's---"

The Finn felt a tickle up his nose from some dust in the room and couldn't help but sneeze loudly suddenly. Oh fuck---

"He might not seem like it but Jake's a lot like Davy." Lex had noticed and meant more like him in the sort of prissy, precise way he had to have everything.

The sneeze startled Lex but not as much as Jake springing up out of the coffin, naked, with a knife in hand. Lex stumbled back because he wasn't even prepared for this. This was more vampire than he had even seen with how fast Jake was up on his feet.

"What the fuck?" Jake was startled but he saw who it was and slowly relaxed. He's heaving from the startle, blood around his mouth, hair a mess.

Heikki wasn't prepared for Jake to leap out of the coffin, weilding a knife no less and covered in blood. Fuck! Stumbling backwards, the Finn nearly fell, grabbing onto Lex in the process.

"Voi vittu! Mitä!---"

What the fuck? Heikki hadn't meant to sneeze and alarm Jake or anyone else. Oh gods. The Finn's heart now hammering inside his chest as he let go of Lex and apologised.

"Sorry---I sneezed."

Once Lex caught the older Finn he started to laugh. Laughing so hard he snorted and it hurt his sides almost immediately.

Jake was looking between the two of them and then scowled. "What the hell are you doing here?"

When his eyes landed on Heikki he felt a little angry, like his privacy had been invaded. "So you still don't trust me? You can get the fuck out."

Heikki wasn't laughing but he could see Lex finding this whole thing hilarious. It was in a way but at the same time Jake was now pissed off at finding them in his room. Uninvited and looking over them in his privacy. It was understandable.

"We came to see my brother because he's not been back for over a week. I can see he's fine and I don't need to worry anymore. No, I do trust you, Jake. It's more---I just wanted to see my brother. That is all."

The Finn could see Niko sitting up in the coffin, sleepy but now waving to Heikki before grinning and giving his brother the middle finger. Of course. Sighing, Heikki realised he had intruded on Jake and started to walk out of the room, not wanting to cause anymore shit.

"Don't you know what a fucking phone is?" Jake's just upset over the invasion but mostly the startle of being woken up out of nowhere with unexpected people staring down at him while he slept.

Lex saw Heikki starting to try and leave and he grabbed him and spun him back around. "You should apologize."

Sure, Lex had let this happen but he knew better than to let his brother stew without an apology. That would make things get snotty and mean, maybe.

Heikki felt himself get pulled back and spun around causing the tall Finn to frown. Of course it was Lex asking him to apologise as he should. This whole thing shouldn't have happened this way.

"You're right, I'm sorry for being a fucking idiot and not using the phone."

The bassist shoved his hands into his jeans pockets as Niko snatched some pants from beside the coffin and wiggled into them as he went to punch his brother in the chest playfully. He did miss having him grouch and be a grumpy brother around him because he'd been too wrapped up with spending time with Jake.

"Niko?"

Niko then went to hug Jake and kiss him on the cheek to help calm the man down.

"Yeah, you're a dumbass." Jake rolled his eyes and sighed so hard that Lex started to giggle again. He looked so much like Davy in that moment.

When Niko came to hug him he pulled at the pants Niko had put on. "You look good in my pants." Jake was coming down from being startled. He's not surprised to see that Niko accidently grabbed a pair of his pants. There were clothing literally strewn all over the place. He nipped Niko on the shoulder while finding a pair of pants to pull on.

Lex shook his head and tugged at Heikki. "Let's get a beer."

He figured Niko and Jake needed a minute to get themselves together after being woken up like that. Besides, the older Finn could use one to calm down. Now that they'd woken them up they better make good on it and at least visit for awhile.

Was Heikki a dumbass? Right now he was and everyone around him knew it. Niko was just amused that his brother had been tarted at by Jake but was a little pissed off he didn't bother to phone. All of this could have been avoided because boring old dirty daddy brother couldn't be bothered to use a fucking phone!

"These are yours? Oh fuck---yeah they are!"

Niko started to laugh as Heikki noticed his brother was wearing Jake's tight leather pants. They did suit him though.

"Ok, yeah, let's get a beer."

Heikki nodded to Lex and pushed a hand through his hair. Fuck! That could have gone better.

Jake let his hands slide down to Niko's ass in his tight leathers. "They look good on you." He gave Niko a kiss and wanted a few moments to wake up and get his head together before dealing with both their brothers.

Lex headed for the kitchen and got two beers out of the fridge. He handed one to Heikki and then started to clean up some of the bottles and take out containers. Among them he found an empty bottle of lube and held it up to Heikki before tossing it in the garbage.

"No wonder your brother was too busy to call." Lex started to laugh while cleaning up a little.

Heikki was beginning to relax a little now that he knew Niko was safe and wasn't stuck inside a coffin or boozed out of his skull somewhere. This Jake seemed to love him and that's all that mattered. The Finn just finding himself staring at all the vampire-themed decor around the house.

"Jake's house is certainly something. It's like a real fucking movie set."

The bassist was impressed with the attention to detail in every little skull or blood tinged item Jake had around the house. It was like a set out of Count Dracula. Taking the beer from Lex, Heikki then snorted a laugh at the empty lube bottle.

"My brother's ass must be stinging by now."

Lex came and sat on the couch to wait for his brother to come out of the bedroom. He's not overly concerned and happy to see Renfield come up for scratching.

"You should have seen his room growing up." Lex had fond memories of his brother when he was a teen.

Lex started to laugh. "My brother's known around for being as sex crazed as he is vampire crazed."

Heikki thought the cat was cute that was now coming up to see Lex, obviously used to the man being around Jake's apartment. Sex crazed? Then, this American vampire would suit Niko then because he was a trashy boy who loved to sleep around.

"Jake is perfect for my trashy, crazy brother. He loves sex and used to bed hop back home in Finland with his band."

Wasn't it with his drummer or something back then? Heikki couldn't remember but knew there was something going on with Niko and his drummer a few years ago.

Lex was still laughing. "He won't have time for that."

Lex took a long drink of his beer and shook his head. "And if someone else gets to eyeing him up, fuck it will be as bad as Davy. Someone will get their eyes clawed out. he's jealous as fuck despite being a little slut himself most days."

"You mean he'll be too busy having his ass pounded inside that fucking coffin."

Heikki laughed as he took a sip of beer. What had Niko gotten himself into in what? Two weeks? It hadn't even been that long, had it? Since the boy had invited himself on tour and got off the plane.

"My brother's been here a few weeks and has ended up a vampire bride."

That joke had to be made.

"and everywhere else probably."

Lex thought it was sweet and knew if his brother was attached to Niko then no one else would get his attention. He as a loose cannon until he fell for someone then he was ruthlessly possessive.

"That's Jake. He's never shy about what he wants."

"Everywhere else exactly."

Heikki could imagine the two fucking like rabbits and not leaving the house which was what happened the this entire week. Was Niko too tired to play guitar and dance like usual? Maybe. Then again, Niko was young and full of energy most days.

"Does Jake do coke or drugs because Niko get trashed on shit like that. Or did when he was back with his band."

Lex was relaxing and still waiting for the other two. At this rate maybe they crawled back into the coffin to sleep. They had startled them awake and who knew when they actually went to sleep.

"No. He'll drink himself into a hole but he's not much for drugs. He's good about not driving drunk too." Lex knew Jake was pretty careful even when he got smashed. He was more likely to leave his bike and call for a ride rather than get on it once he hit a certain point.

"That's good to know because Niko's choice of boyfriends in the past has been a fucking shitshow. Coked up trashy boys who didn't know their ass to their elbow once they'd tanked up on fuck know's what."

Heikki often worried about Niko going out on benders with his friends.

"Jake is a good man from what I'm hearing. I hope he doesn't think I'm a complete fucking asshole from how we've met so far."

The Finn knew things could have gone better.

"Sounds like the type my brother got in with."

Lex hoped Niko wouldn't pull Jake into drugs but his brother had a head for his career so hopefully that would help.

"He's a prickly bastard sometimes, like Davy, but he'll be ok after awhile." Lex motioned toward the bedroom. "That didn't help."

"He got in with some crazy bastards too then?"

Heikki knew his brother was young and being a rock star who mixed with people who were into hard drugs it was inevitable this would happen. The Finn knew Niko would never intentionally pull Jake into drugs because of the man's career.

"You mean a tart? I've seen first hand how he deals with people when he's fucked off. He slaps them."

The bassist glanced towards the bedroom and sighed.

"No, it didn't."

"Married women, drugged out musicians.

Lex felt a little better with Niko being younger but he wasn't sure why. It just felt right somehow.

"Yeah, but he isn't prissy like Davy. If you piss him off too much he'll clock you." Lex mentioned but he didn't think Heikki would get more than a bunch of yelling. He was Niko's family and he wouldn't hurt him too much because of that.

"Married women?"

That part got a brow raise from the Finn who wondered what the hell that was about but decided not to pry. Jake obviously had his reasons and his past belonged to him just as Niko's was private to him.

"Niko is immature, young and naive at times but fiercely loyal, loving and devoted to those he loves. The boy gets fucking jealous though, so if you see him side-eyeing anyone flirting with Jake you'll know why."

Heikki had seen Niko slap another musician once for flirting with his drummer boyfriend.

"Yeah, fucking bitch was using him as some side piece and her husband showed up at my place fucking pissed. It was a mess."

Lex hated the woman for doing that. Not because she was married, that he didn't care about but she broke his brother's heart and that mattered.

"I've already seen it." Lex laughed and glanced toward the bedroom. It sounded pretty quiet but who knew what they were up to. "Jake's the same way. He takes some time to get attached but when he does you won't be able to pry him free."
